WooCommerce / WordPress
AI shopping assistant for WooCommerce.
A WordPress plugin that adds a chat assistant to your WooCommerce storefront. Shoppers ask in plain language — "what's waterproof under £50?", "do you ship to Ireland?" — and it answers from your actual products and policy pages, then adds the right item to the basket.
What it does
A normal WordPress plugin
Install it, paste an API key, and it runs. No theme edits, no block templates to rebuild, no separate hosting. It works with block and classic themes alike.
Syncs more than products
Products, variations, prices, stock, categories, attributes and review excerpts, plus your pages, posts and any custom post type you opt in — so the assistant can answer from your shipping policy as readily as from your catalogue.
Live coupons
Active, unexpired WooCommerce coupons sync across, so the assistant can surface a real discount code instead of inventing one.
Adds to the WooCommerce basket
Add-to-basket goes through WooCommerce itself, so your cart, totals, taxes and shipping rules apply exactly as they always do.
Order tracking in chat
"Where is my order?" returns a compact order card with status, items and a carrier tracking link. Logged-in customers see recent orders; guests verify with an order number and email.
The AI runs on our servers
The plugin's job is on the WordPress side: keep your store in sync and print a small loader. Understanding the question and generating the reply happen on idea89's infrastructure, so your host does not carry the load.
Installing on WooCommerce
- Install the plugin. From Plugins → Add New, search for "IDEA89 AI Shopping Assistant", or upload the zip.
- Activate and add your key. WooCommerce → idea89. Paste the API key from your dashboard and use Test Connection to confirm it reaches your site.
- Choose what to sync. Products and categories are on by default; opt in your pages, posts or custom post types.
- Style the widget. Set the assistant's name, your brand colour, the welcome message and where the launcher sits.
- Go live. Switch it on. The widget appears on the storefront with no theme changes.
